Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo,FUNAI now has a New Provost and Dean which were just appointed by the Vice-Chancellor.
The Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, FUNAI now has an acting acting provost and acting dean for the university which were just appointed by the Vice-chancellor.

Professor Edward Uche-Nwachi who is now the Acting Provost, College of Medicine of the University and Prof. Nwachi, a man of unparalleled academic accomplishments until his appointment was the Acting Dean, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences in the University.
Recall that the University is on the verge of commencing its College of Medicine by October 2017.
He first headed the Department of Anatomy, West Indies University where he worked for fourteen (14) years (1996-2010). While in UNIBEN, he was also the Head, Department of Anatomy before joining FUNAI as the pioneer Head of the Department of Anatomy and later Similarly, Dr. Ogugua Egwu is the new Acting Dean, Faulty of Basic Medical Sciences.
B. FUNAI ACTING DEAN, FACULTY OF BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES, DR. OGUGUA EGWU
Egwu has vast experience in the field of Basic Medical Sciences garnered overtime from various universities across the country. He was a pro-sector (Technologist) in EBSU, Coordinator, MBBS class before turning to lecturing in the College of Medicine, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Egwu is a Reader, and presently the Director, Center for Employability and Entrepreneurship. He has also been an Acting Head, Department of Anatomy in the University.
It is expected that these two consummate academics and astute professionals will bring their wealth of experience to bear to successfully midwife the establishment of College of Medicine and also play pivotal roles in the actualization of the vision of the University.

The two appointments are for a period of one year with effect from June 6th, 2017.
